I had the honor of capturing Josh and Lindsey’s South Georgia Wedding this past December. Their day was truly filled with so much meaning, love, and sentiment from the beginning to the end of the night, and I am truly so thankful that I was able to document their day for them. When you think of weddings, winter probably isn’t the first thing you think of, but something about a December wedding in Southern Georgia is truly magical and might just make you change your mind. I will never get tired of capturing each couple’s love story and watching them bring both their families together to celebrate their coming together as one. Lindsey and Josh are no different and documenting their day was unlike any other to add the memories of special days!
Their day started by getting ready separately, Lindsey got her hair and make-up done so beautifully by Madison Berryhill Usry with Sydneys on First Blow Dry Bar, before having her mom and best friends help her into her dress. Josh got dressed and relaxed with the guys, drinking beer and spending time with their dog Dolly Kate. In a private moment while getting ready Lindsey and Josh exchanged private letters expressing their excitement for the day, their future and all things in the past that led them to this day.
Once Lindsey and Josh were dressed and ready to put a ring on it, we got ready for their private intimate first look. It was important for Lindsey and Josh to have a moment that was just for them to spend time alone on their wedding day before the craziness started, and so that they could be present together. They expressed that after their ceremony they wanted to just be surrounded by the family and friends who have helped them get to where they are today as a couple. Watching Josh’s face light up when he saw Lindsey for the first time in her Gorgeous dress and her veil (her mom’s veil from her wedding day), it was such a surreal moment. Of course, Lindsey and Josh’s wedding day couldn’t be complete without including their dog Dolly Kate in it somehow, and of course, before the ceremony where she was the dog of honor, they had to give her own first look as well.
As the sun was setting Josh and Lindsey said their I Do’s under the brisk December night. During their ceremony, they shared their vows, some tears, sweet stolen moments with one another, and of course their unity ceremony which included their furbaby to bring their family together as one. For their Unity ceremony, Lindsey and Josh thought it was only right to bring Dolly Kate in, so they made her an organic peanut butter sandwich, each helping to spread the peanut butter and feed it to her. They finished their ceremony with their first kiss and walked back down the aisle as a family of three!
With all of the dancing and music that TNT Entertainment was playing. Lindsey had planned on doing a dress change. Lindsey grabbed Josh to help her change into her new party dress and get some steamy photos while she changed over outfits. Once changed they decided to have some fun and take some photos in the bathroom pouring champagne into each other’s mouth and just have fun with each other and relish on the day they have had.
