Planning a wedding is hard but with the perfect vendor team, your Pinterest wedding dreams will come to life right before your eyes!
Decide what your top 5 Priorities are
This is the most important and necessary thing you can do when planning your wedding. Let’s be real weddings are expensive and add up quickly so it is super important you decide what the top 5 things you want at your wedding are so that your budget includes those!
You will have things you absolutely do not want to compromise on. You will have things that at the end of the day you realize were not as important to you as you thought and guess what that’s ok!
Even if it is not 5 things that is ok it can be 2 or 3 priorities but it is really important to decide what those top priorities are so that way when you get to a place where you have to compromise (because you will eventually), you are prepared to make a decision confidently.
Just remember your priorities are going to be different than your mom or dad, your best friend, and even your fiance and that is also ok. Everyone has different priorities. Some brides care about their photos the most. Some really want a gorgeous venue, are all about the music or florals. Some are really concerned about their guests having the time of their lives, and some really want to save money so they can invest in something else in their life.
This is when it comes to you and your fiance to decide what is best for the two of you because, in the end, it is truly up to you two.
Search for Vendors
Now that you have your top 5 most important things, you can start to start the list of all the different vendors you will need to bring all your dreams to life! Whether you want to truly organize them in order of importance or just have a list you need to run down, it’s just in how you want to think about it.
You are probably thinking, what are the vendors I need to get for my wedding???
Here’s just a quick list of different aspects of typical* wedding days:
Just remember you may not want all of these things or you may want to add a few special surprises and traditions to the list, but this is a good start!
Think about how you want your day to look
Whether you are a Pinterest girlie or a guy who has been dreaming of what your wedding day will look like for the longest time or not you will need to start thinking about what you want your day to look like and feel like! I always tell my couples what do you want to see, feel, smell, taste, and hear. That can look different for everyone but ask yourself questions like do I want an outdoor or indoor wedding, do I want a city, farm, beach, or southern feel? Do you want a big wedding or a smaller one? This is only where the list starts and it could go on forever!
There are a few different tips that I give my brides and grooms to help your day run as smoothly as possible to hire a wedding planner! That could be having a planner for months in advance or even just someone there for a day of coordination. This will help your day run smoothly and someone will be there to set up all the decor and tables so that none of your friends or family are left having to take care of it.
Pick a Venue and Date
This is one of the first things you will do, deciding your date! Some people have sentimental dates in mind from family tradition or a special date for you and your fiance and others care about the season that they get married. When picking your date also think about the style you are going for and if there, is it over a major holiday, is it during storm season, will it be really hot or really cold? All of these seem like simple questions but will all help in the long run.
Hot tip: If you want to save some money booking your wedding on a Sunday or Friday can help to save you money as Saturdays are the most desired day for weddings.
Remember this is your day
Your wedding day is the most exciting day of your life that you have been anticipating for so long, and it always goes by far too fast so just remember this IS YOUR DAY! Nobody else but you and your fiance’s day to cherish and I will be there to help you remember that because as easy as it sounds to remember it can be difficult with so many different personalities involved but it is necessary to remember!
You both get to make the final say on what happens with your wedding! How cool is that the best part is that at the end of the day, your closest friends and family are there to celebrate both you and your significant other as well as your love story! Your wedding day is supposed to be one out of your wildest dreams! I know your big day will be nothing short of it! With all of that being said, I am sending my biggest congratulations to both of you and wish you the happiest in your wedding planning!
